Main Street group gets new members

The central committee of Main Street Conway will have eight new members in 1999.

"Normally, there would be only four members," said Bill Miller, Main Street project manager, "but this year we lost some other members due to employment transfers and resignations."

Joining the committee this year are: Phil Bartos and Don Bradley of the University of Central Arkansas; Heath Boothby, Amore Restaurant; Marcia Crossman, Crossman Printing; Janette Covington, Covington Properties; Michael Hengel, Log Cabin Democrat; Sherry Smith, Fletcher Smith Jewelers; and Sara Ward, Zenith Insurance.

Returning members are Harold Helton, First Factoring, who will serve as chairman; Margaret Smith and Marilyn Battles of NationsBank; James Flanagin III, dentist; and Ed Settgast, Nature's Pantry."

Mayor Tab Townsell will serve as an ex officio member.
