The new year came in without much trouble, according to the Conway Police Department.
Sgt. Michael Edgmon said that patrol officers were busy "working parties" but there was not much trouble as far as people drinking and driving.
Two 18-year-old Conway men were arrested 45 minutes into the new year for public intoxication after police responded to a call regarding an excessively loud party on Majestic Circle.
A 26-year-old Conway man was arrested at 3:06 a.m. for disorderly conduct after police responded to a possible fight in progress. According to a police report, officers arrived on the scene and found a large group of people "yelling and screaming." The man arrested reportedly continued to yell racial slurs to a group of black males and females after officers arrived.
He was transported to the Conway Police Department, where he was cited and jailed at the Faulkner County Detention Center.

Criminal mischief
Will Richardson of Conway reported that his vehicle had been vandalized. Sometime during the night Wednesday, someone slashed all four of the tires on his 1994 Chevrolet truck and keyed all around his vehicle, he said.
He also reported that this is about the sixth time this has happened to one of his vehicles. Damage was estimated at $2,500.
Burglary
David W. Slatton of Bean Street reported that between Sunday and Thursday, someone kicked in the front door of his residence and stole $380 cash and two telephones of an undetermined value.
Theft
Steve Pascoe of Conway reported that between Dec. 19 and Dec. 30, someone stole a $1,200 set of golf clubs and a $110 pair of golf shoes from his Amelia Drive residence.
Possession
A 21-year-old Conway woman was arrested at 10:30 p.m. Thursday for possession of a controlled substance after police did a welfare check on two children living in the apartment with her.
Officers reported seeing a small plastic bag of suspected marijuana on the counter. The woman admitted that the drugs were hers.
