Bulldogs surge past Magnet Cove

St. Joseph’s baseball team (8-5, 5-1) used 15 hits and a six-run fourth inning on the way to a 13-3 victory Wednesday over Magnet Cove.

Owen Echols (1-0) got the victory in relief, allowing no earned runs in three innings. Magnet Cove had two hit off Echols, Dylan Schrekenhofer and Brad Vwndivere.

Jacob Lampe was 4 for 5 with a three-run home run that tied the game in the third. David Beck was four for four with three RBI. Schrekenhofer was 3 for 4.

“Not a very focused start, but a solid finish,” said UCA coach Luke Davis. “We need to carry some of these approaches at the plate into the tournaments.”
