The defending regular-season champion University of Central Arkansas had a league-high six players named to the preseason All-Southland Conference women’s soccer team, five on the first team.

Mounie, from Foothill, California, ranking 10th in the league in goals (6).

Ricks (Keller, Texas) and Carroll (South Jordan, Utah), combined to win five of the league’s 12 Defensive Player of the Week awards on the season, and led the Bears in minutes played. They formed the backbone of a UCA defense that held its league opponents to just seven goals in 11 games.

Moore, a native of Yukon, Oklahoma, played 1,355 minutes in the Central Arkansas midfield and also contributed offensively, tallying four goals and tying for second with eight assists. Three of her goals were game-winners.
