Beck, Briggler get major major awards at St. Joseph

David Beck and Amber Briggler earned the top awards recently at the St. Joseph basketball awards programs.

Boys and girls players in grades 7-12 were recognized.

The highest of these awards went to the senior players who best demonstrate all-around excellence on and off the court.

The Jim Banks Award, won by Beck, is named after the school’s first boys basketball coach.

The Father Beagan Award, won by Briggler, is named for a former pastor at St. Joseph who was instrumental in starting girls basketball in the mid-1950s.

David Beck was the boys recipient and Amber Briggler took home the girls award.
