Conway Christian teams take down Guy-Perkins

The Conway Christian junior boys and girls basketball teams defeated Faulkner County foe Guy-Perkins on Monday night.

In the boys game, the Junior Eagles made eight 3-pointers to go on for the win. Tanner Stevenson and Carson Cook led CCS with nine points each. Cody Morris had six points.

In the girls game, the Junior Lady Eagles held on for a 46-43 win behind Claire Hobbs’ 20 points. Sarah Roberson and Sarah Nekonchuk had 10 points each.

Conway Christian won a pair of seventh-grade games as well.

In the boys game, Luke Beckman scored 12 points off four 3-pointers to help the Eagles take a 36-14 win. Drew Duncan, Chris Hays and John Nekonchuk had six points each.

CCS took a 24-23 win in the girls game. 

McKinley Wallace scored eight points to lead the Lady Eagles. Carly Powell finished with five, while Elizabeth Kennedy and Marissa Payne had four each.

GREENBRIER 

7TH GRADE

GREENBRIER — Greenbrier won all four of its seventh-grade basketball games against Bryant on Monday night.

The Greenbrier boys won the “A” game 28-18. Will Drewry led the way with 17 points. Sam Colbert added four, while Tristan Sparks scored three. Ethan Edwards and Tanner Stewart had two points each.

The Greenbrier girls also won their “A” game, holding on for a 14-12 decision. Savannah Baker led the way with six points. Heather Donham, Shelby Hammett, Allie Pack and Madison McKaskle all had two points each.

In the girls “B” game, Greenbrier took a 16-4 win. Brooklyn Freeling led the way with eight points. Katie Jones added while, while Brittany Harmon and Jessica Hudson had two each.

Greenbrier took a 16-11 victory in the boys “B” game. Grant Webb led with five points, while Cole Shaw and Austin Sitzes had four points each. Brock Daniels scored two points and Skylar Reynolds one.
