CHS girls second in state swim meet

LITTLE ROCK — Conway High’s girls swim team, which won the state title last year, finished second in the 7A/6A meet last weekend at UALR Natatorium.

The Lady Cats accumulated 253 points, finishing second to Bentonville, which surged to victory with 471 points.

The CHS boys finished seventh with 127 points. Bentonville won with 409 points.

The Conway girls won the 200-yard medley relay in 1:54.22. The Lady Cats finished fourth in the 400 freestyle relay and second in the 200 freestyle relay.

Gracie Carl gave Conway an individual title in the 100 breaststroke in 1:12.28. Conway Elam Fulton was third in the event.

For the CHS boys, William Bryden was fourth in both the 50 freestyle and 100 butterfly.
