Conway’s boys opened the soccer season Tuesday by playing Little Rock Central to a 2-2 tie in nonconference play.
With the Cats trailing 1-0, Victor Ramirez scored for Conway on a penalty kick with 9:00 left in the first half. After Central scored on a free kick in the second half, Logan Hampton took a pass from Henry Aguirre, split defenders and sent a shot low and away from the keeper to tie the score with 8:00 left.
Conway won the junior varsity match, 1-0, on a late goal by Alex Green.
The Cats will play Greenwood on Friday.
