Basketball roundup: Junior championship for Mayflower; Faulkner Lady Falcons

GUY — The Mayflower junior girls won the championship of the weather-delayed Faulkner County Junior Tournament on Wednesday with a 40-32 victory over Vilonia.

Tristen Lasker scored 13 points, had 11 rebounds and six steals for the Lady Eagles. Tori Lasker scored 12 points, had 14 rebounds and six steals.


The Faulkner Falcons homeschool girls basketball team won three games recently.

The Lady Falcons beat Faith Academy, 44-30. Reagan Coffey led with a career-high 16 points, including four 3-pointers. Rebecca Turner was also in double figures with 12, and Claire Coffey added eight.

The Falcons defeated league-rival Pulaski Flames, 51-25. Anna Lawrence paced the team with 17 points. Marissa Payne and Tymber Crawley each scored six, and Reagan Coffey added five.

In Hot Springs, the Lady Falcons beat Christian Ministries by 57-28. Payne scored a career-high 22 points, shooting nine of 12 from the field, including four 3-pointers. Lauren Kinley was six of seven for 14 points. Lauren Pharr added nine points. Crawley added five rebounds and five steals, and Lawrence had four assists.
