Lady Cats advance: St. Joseph in Faulkner junior tourney

Conway’s Lady Wampus Cats (10-2) won their first-round game of the Siloam Springs tournament defeating Charleston, 68-30.

 

Leading the way for the Lady Cats was sophomore Alexis Tolefree with 21 points. Asia Willard had 10 points and Christin Rogers and Hailey Estes added 10 each.

ST. JOSEPH

St. Joseph teams split two games in the Faulkner County Junior High tournament at Guy.

The Bulldogs defeated Mayflower, 43-15.

Gage Berger had 12 points and Daniel Lee Kordsmeier, nine with four steals and two assists. David Beck had six points and six rebounds.

Other statistical leaders were: Jacob Welter, six points; Brad Vandivere, four points, three rebounds; Triple Williams, four points, five rebounds; Zach Martin, three assists and three steals.

Mount Vernon-Enola’s girls defeated the Lady Bulldogs, 33-28.

Rachel Prall led St. Joseph with eight points and six rebounds. Erin Sterka had six points and six rebounds. Amber Briggler had five points and three rebounds and Brianna Wells added four points.
