The Mayflower Lady Eagles recently finished second in the district junior high tournament at Mayflower after finishing third in the regular season in conference.
In the title game against Jessiville, Tristen Lasker led the team in scoring with nine points. Marissa Harper and Tori Lasker each had eight points.
The Lady Eagles finished 16-7.
Mayflower’s senior girls will play Benton Harmony Grove at 4 p.m. Wednesday in the first round of the district tournament at Episcopal Collegiate in Little Rock.
Greenbrier Junior Girls
BEEBE — Greenbrier Lady Panthers fell, 41-38, to Beebe in junior high play Monday night.
“I am proud of how hard the girls played,” said Greenbrier coach Larry Flake. “We got hurt on the boards down the stretch.”
Charli Short, Kory Westerman, and Ali Skudlark had 11, 13 and 14 points, respectively.
The Lady Panthers will be back in action for their final regular-season game Thursday when they play Vilonia. The conference tournament starts Saturday in Russellville.
Vilonia 7th Girls
The Vilonia seventh-grade girls ended their season Saturday with a 33-26 victory over Little Rock Christian.
By making three 3-pointers and two out of two free throws, Kenna Beaty led the scoring for Vilonia with 11 points. Tori Wilbanks scored nine points and was three out of four on free throws. Alyssa Netherlain and Alexis Burnham scored four points each. Grace Vanlandingham contributed three points. Sydney Johnson scored two points.
The Lady Eagles finished the season at 19-5.
