ROCK ISLAND, Ill. — The Hendrix College men’s lacrosse team lost to Hope College, 13-6, Saturday night.
The Flying Dutchmen (2-0) outshot the Warriors (2-5) 51-36 and had a 42-37 ground balls advantage.
Hendrix had trouble staying out of the penalty box, committing nine offenses for 11 minutes. Hope committed six penalties for 5:30.
Cameron Millstone tallied a total of three goals, moving his season total to 25, and had one assist for four points. The St. Louis, Mo. native also went 12-for-20 on faceoff attempts and picked up seven ground balls. Freshman Dan D’Ostuni recorded six ground balls. Freshman keeper Joe Takacs had 13 saves in goal.
Hendrix will be off until March 20 when they host Rhodes College in their Southern Athletic Association opener.
