Bears 38th in FCS poll

The University of Central Arkansas received 36 points in voting among media representatives in The Sports Network FCS top 25 preseason football poll.

Among teams receiving votes outside the top-25, the Bears are ranked 38th.

Eastern Washington, with 82 first-place votes and 3,589 points, is ranked No.1 with three-time national champion North Dakota State, with 62 first-place votes and 3,540 points, No. 2.

Defending Southland Conference champion Southeastern Louisiana third, followed by New Hampshire and Montana. New Hampshire received the only other first-place vote.

McNeese State is ranked eighth and Sam Houston State is 17th.

Montana State, a non-conference opponent of the Bears, is ranked 18th.
