Playing their third match in three days, the University of Central Arkansas volleyball team recorded another straight-set victory Saturday at the Prince Center.
The Sugar Bears (10-3, 2-0( defeated Incarnate Wolrd, 25-12, 25-23, 25-17 in a Southland Conference match.
Fulani Petties led the Central Arkansas offense, picking up 10 kills, three assists, two blocks, and a dig. Kyle Hartman chipped in 10 kills, while Marissa Collins added 37 assists. Shelbee Berringer tallied a match-high 21 kills.
The Sugar Bears take oon Southeastern Louisiana and the University of New Orleans on a road trip this weekend.
HENDRIX FIELD HOCKEY
Rhodes College overpowered the Hendrix field hockey team, 9-1, Saturday at Warrior Field.
The visiting Lynx (2-5, 2-1) outshot the Warriors (0-5, 0-3) 43-6 overall and 35-4 in shots on goal.
Mackenzie Bsuby scored three goals in the first 27 minutes to put Rhodes up 3-0. Christina DiFelice added another goal in the 30th minute to make the game 4-0 at half. The Lynx added five more goals in the first 12:03 of the second half.
Hendrix junior forward Morgan Fires scored in the 52nd minute on an assist from junior defender Lauren Shklanko for the Warriors’ only goal.
