The University of Central Arkansas softball team pounded out 12 hits on the way to a 10-2 victory over Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Tuesday at Farris Field.
Sam Forrest was 3 for 3 with three RBI and two runs scored. Melissa Bryant was 2 for 4 and scored two runs. Sarah Bigej was 2 for 3. Lissa Avitia was 2 for three and scored three runs. Forrest had a triple. Bryant and Begej had doubles.
The Lions had three hits. Ciera Clampitt started and picked up the win, striking out four in three innings. Kelsie Burke and Greenbrier’s Cicely New also pitched for the Bears (16-6).
