The University of Central Arkansas again has Arkansas State on its future football schedule, possibly for the last time.
The Bears and the Red Wolves will play in Jonesboro in 2016. Dr. Brad Teague, UCA athletic director, said that ASU officials have told him the Bears could possibly be the last Football Championship Subdivision team the Football Bowl Subvision Red Wolves will ever play.
At Monday's Bearbacker luncheon, Teague announced future "money games" on the UCA schedule. The include Oklahoma State in 2015, Arkansas State in 2016 and Kansas State in 2017, all on the road.
UCA will be paid $300,000 to play ASU, $375,000 for the OSU game and $400,00 for Kansas State, Teague said. The Bears' game Saturday against Texas Tech to open the season in Lubbock with provide the Bears a payment of $425,000.
