Warriors take baseball series from Petrels

 The Hendrix College baseball team defeated Oglethorpe University, 12-5, on Sunday at Warrior Field to take the Southern Athletic Association series two games to one.

The Warriors (19-15, 10-8) outhit the Stormy Petrels (15-19, 5-12) 14-10 and took advantage of five OU errors.

Collin Radack reached base all six times he came to the plate with four singles, a walk and a hit by pitch. He also scored twice and stole two bases. Jacob Perschke had a double and triple with two runs and three RBI.


Senior starter Thomas Weber (4-3) earned the win by fanning five batters and giving up nine hits, four runs and two walks in 6.2 innings. Senior Justin Mosbey closed the game with one strikeout, one hit, one walk and an unearned run allowed.

Before the game, the Warriors honored their five seniors, Radack, Perschke, Thomas Weber, Mosbey and Austin Womack.
