Lady Demons take series from Bears

Northwestern State (19-18, 8-8) took a three-game series with the University of Central Arkansas softball team, winning the rubber game, 10-3, Sunday at Farris Field.

NSU led 9-0 before the Bears (18-27, 8-9) scored.


Sarah Bigej, who went 2 for 3  with a walk and a run, and first baseman Taylor Dear, who went 2 for 3 with a pair of singles led the Bear offense.


The Bears return to action on Tuesday evening hosting the University of Louisiana in a single game at 5 p.m.
