Lions shut out Bears in series opener

Southeastern Louisiana junior Andro Cuturo held the University of Central Arkansas Bears to  three hits Friday night in a 6-0 shutout in Southland Conference action at Bear Stadium.

UCA freshman designated hitter Joey Pinney had two of UCA’s three hits, with a second-inning double and a fourth-inning single.
