Bears sweep softball series against SE Louisiana

The University of Central Arkansas softball team (17-21, 7-4) completed a sweep of a three-game series against Southeastern Louisiana on Sunday, winning 5-0 at Farris Field.

Kylee Studioso (9-6), who carried a no-hitter into the fifth inning and struck out 15 Lady Lions on Saturday, was dominant again, holding Southeastern Louisiana hitless through the first three innings Sunday. She picked up the complete-game victory, limiting the Lady Lions (9-15, 3-9) to two hits and a walk while striking out 11.

Briana Whisenhunt had a two-run double and Taylor Dear an RBI single. Three one-out singles by Sam Forrest, Bigej and Whisenhunt added two runs in the second.

The Bears hit the road on Wednesday, heading to Tulsa, Oklahoma for a game against the 13th-rabked Tulsa Golden Hurricane.
