Greenbrier coach Randy Tribble will send out a team Tuesday night to open the season with high hopes of improving on last year's 4-7 record.
"We think we'll be competing for a conference championship," he said.
The situation has reversed for the Conway Wampus Cats this season.
Last year, almost all the experience was on the defensive side. This year, the Cats return nine starters from a prolific offense and two on defense.
"We have lot of returning starters. i feel stronger and my technique is better but I'm working so it can be the best teammate I can be. I'm learning more about the offense. I want to make my senior year the best it can be.
