Warriors win baseball series from Little Giants

Senior pitcher Thomas Weber struck out seven and allowed just one hit and three walks over seven innings to lead the Hendrix College baseball team to an 8-1 win over Wabash College at Warrior Field on Sunday.



The Warriors (3-5) take two out of three games of their home-opening series.



The Warriors dominated on offense as well, outhitting the Little Giants (1-2) 16-2.



 Matt Simmons went 3-for-5 with two runs scored and stolen base for Hendrix.  Collin Radack had two hits, including a double, and drive in a run.  Ryan Ritz had two RBI a double.

Sports roundup: UCA baseball, tennis, Hendrix baseball

Mark Moyer, a redshirt freshman from Russellville who missed the 2016 season with an arm injury, went the distance, allowing just five hits and striking out four to record UCA’s first complete game of the season to lead the University of Central Arkansas to a run-rule, 10-0 victory New Orleans University in the runner game of the three-game series Sunday at Bear Stadium.
