The Hendrix College women's soccer team lost to Berry College, 4-2, in Southern Athletic Association action at Warrior Field on Friday night.
The visiting Vikings (8-3, 1-1) outshot the Warriors (5-4-2, 0-1-1) 25-4 and 10-3 on goal.
Samantha Lallas scored twice for Hendrix.Lallas took all three shots on goal for Hendrix and sophomore forward Syndey King had one shot.Sophomore keeper Rachel Zweig recorded five saves in 65 minutes in front of the net and freshman Michael Seltzer had one for the Warriors. Melissa Sanchez stopped one for Berry.Hendrix will host another SAA contest at noon Sunday against Oglethorpe University.
Berry took a 4-1 victory in the men's game.
The visiting Vikings (6-4-1, 2-0) outshot the Warriors (4-6-2, 0-2) 22-10 and 12-3 on goal.
Hendrix scored in the 56th minute when sophomore midfielder Jacob Pierce headed in sophomore Will Dunaway's corner kick. The goal was the team-leading seventh of the year for Pierce.
Sophomore keeper Marco Luna had eight saves for Hendrix, while Logan Hill recorded two for Berry.
The Warriors will take on Oglethorpe University on Sunday in another SAA tilt.
