AUBURN, Ala. (AP) — Auburn has hired former Arkansas assistant Tim Horton to coach tight ends.
Horton, a former all-star running back for Conway High and a son of former UCA coach Harold Horton, spent the past six seasons with the Razorbacks as running backs coach and was recruiting coordinator for the last five of those.
Auburn coach Gus Malzahn announced the hiring on Friday.
Horton was one of just two coaches nationally to have four different 1,000-yard rushers from 2007-10.
He played for Arkansas from 1986-89.
Horton spent one season as Kansas State's running backs coach and was an Air Force assistant from 1999-2005 during his 23-year coaching career.

Letting Tim get away is very disappointing. It will be a shame to have 2 AR guys beat AR when we play Auburn.
