MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Freshman midfielder Pedro Sagone scored with 17 seconds left in regulation to give the Hendrix College men’s soccer team a 1-0 victory at Huntingdon College on Sunday afternoon.
The victory improves the Warriors record to 9-4-2, tying the 1993 and 2009 Hendrix teams for most wins in season.
The Warriors dominated the Hawks (4-8-1) with a 20-9 shots advantage and 5-3 edge in shots on goals.
The goal was the third of the year for Sagone, of Guatemala City, and it was his second game-winner.
