Dr. Brad Teague, UCA athletic director, is first up among athletic department employees to get his head shaved Monday. To kick off UCA's "breast cancer awareness" campaign, several UCA staffers had their heads shaved in honor of Milisa Moore, Teague's administrative assistant, who has been diagnosed with breast cancer. Am I the only one who thinks this years' awareness campaign has gotten out of hand? I didn't think you could have too much publicity to raise the consciousness of such a devastating issue like cancer, but enough already! Pink shoes and wristbands in NFL games; really? And yes, my family has been touched by cancer too.
um
Just guessing here, but yes, I think you might be the only one.
Yeah it would appear so
For someone who claims that their family has been touched by cancer, you sure do give a negative attitude about others that want to show their support, pay tribute, raise awareness or make a donation.
But of course, that is just my opinion and you are entitled to yours.
Like Forrest Gump said, “And that’s all I have to say about that.”
this is a great cause but
I just wish people would spend this much time with publicity stunts/teams wearing a certain color for other needs to such as childhood hunger, the homeless, etc.
Ok...
You may be right, I Wonderful, or perhaps I am just the only one dumb enough to say so.
