MOUNT BERRY, Ga. – Berry College went overtime Sunday for a 1-0 men's soccer victory over Hendrix.
The game was scoreless until 2:56 into the extra period when the Vikings (9-3, 2-1) sent in the goal after a deflection of Kartee Johnson’s pass.
The Warriors (8-4-1, 1-2) registered 13 shots in the game, five of which were on goal. The Vikings, who has been ranked in the region this season, took 21 shots with 10 on goal.
Senior forward Connor Silvestri took two shots on goal for Hendrix, while Grant Womack, Dylan Reed and Jacob Pierce recorded one each. Freshman goalkeeper Marco Luna stopped nine shots for the Warriors, two off his season-best. Logan Hill recorded four saves for the Warriors.
