Centre College took a 2-0 victory Sunday over Hendrix in field hockey.
The loss moves the Warriors to 6-4 overall, but they remain in second place in the Southern Athletic Association at 4-2. The Colonels improve to 5-5 overall and 3-3 in the SAA, good for third place with two games conference games remaining in the regular season.
After a scoreless first half, Centre scored on a Courtney Kuiper penalty corner pass to Sydney White in the 39th minute. Kuiper scored a goal of her own on a pass from Erin Mays in the 55th minute to give the Colonels the 2-0 win.
For the game, Centre outshot Hendrix 12-4 and 7-2 in shots on goal. The teams were even in corners with nine each.
