INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — The University of Central Arkansas men edged Butler, 2-1, Sunday afternoon to move to 4-1.
“An average team would have struggled to deal with the frustration of the rainout, of not playing on Friday,” Central Arkansas coach Ross Duncan said, “But our group is showing themselves to be special.”
Ethan Miller scored from 25 yards out and Daniel Sampedro from 6 yards out for the UCA goals.
Cody Gibson, in his second consecutive start for the Bears, recorded six saves, surrendering only one goal.
The Bears play at Eastern Illinois on Friday.
