Faulkner basketball roundup: Lady Eagles go to 10-3

The Vilonia Lady Eagles ran their record to 10-3 Tuesday night with a 48-32 victory over Morrilton.

 

Paige Kelley led a balanced Vilonia scoring attack with 11 points. Skylar Lee added 10.

Morrilton won the boys game, 59-53.

Greenbrier

Libbie Hill scored 21 points in leading Beebe to a 46-35 victory Tuesday night in girls basketball.

Sarah McGee scored 16 for the Panthers.

Greenbrier won the boys game, 55-44.

St. Joseph

Guy-Perkns’ girls upped their record to 7-8 Tuesday with a 59-50 victory over St. Joseph (6-13) at the St. Joseph Family Activity Center.

Amber Briggler led St. Joseph with 13 points, six rebounds and three assists. Rachel Prall added 12 points and nine rebounds. Joanie Elsinger had 11 points. Erin Sterka had four assists and Brianna Wells three.

The Thunderbirds won the boys game, 72-64.

Hendrix

HendrixAt Shreveport, La., junior guard Leah Smith came off the bench to score 20 points and grabbed five rebounds in leading the Hendrix women to a 73-63 victory Monday over Centenary.

Senior guard Hailey Bode scored a season-best 17 points with five boards, three assists, two blocks and a steal. Junior center Sara Dyslin recorded her sixth double-double of the year with 13 points and 13 rebounds.

Centenary won the men’s game, 89-81.

Senior guard Hank Aldous tied his season-best with 27 points and had nine rebounds, a block and two steals. Preston Smith finished with 25 points, knocking down five threes, to go with six rebounds, two assists, a block and a pair of steals.
