TEMPE, Ariz. — The University of Central Arkansas was ravaged by a 3-point barrage by Arizona State on Thursday as the Sun Devils romped to a 98-62 victory over the Bears at Wells Fargo Arena.
The Sun Devils were 18 of 45 from 3-point range while the Bears were three of 24 an shot 39 percent overall.
ASU built a 51-28 lead at the half.
Guard Torian Graham led the Sun Devil onslaught with 26 points. He was joined in double figures by fellow guards Shannon Evans with 23 and Tra Holder with 22. Forward OBinna Okale added 18 points.
UCA committed 20 turnvovers to ASU’s 10.
Jeff Lowery, seven of 10 from the field, led the Bears with Bears with 15 points. Mathieu Kamba added 13 points, 15 rebounds and three assists. Jordan Howard, five of 19 from the field, had 13 points.
The Bears finished nonconference play at 1-12. They open Southland Conference play Dec. 31 against league favorite Sam Houston State, the team that played the Arkansas Razorbacks in Little Rock on Thursday night.
