Registration has begun for Upward Basketball and Upward Cheerleading and will continue through Nov. 9.
The programs are open for boys and girls, grades 1-6. The goal is to develop self-respect by teaching character, sportsmanship and respect for authority as well as athletic skills.
Evaluation sessins will be Nov. 11 and Nov. 15 at the Activity Center at Antioch Baptist Church. Each player must attend an evaluation session in order to participate. The season begins Jan. 7.

In the recent, 5A-West cross country meet at Harrison, Harrison edged Vilonia’s senior boys for the team title, 52-56.
Greenbrier was third in the eight-team field with 70 points. edging Shiloh Christian, 72.
Daniel Evans of Shiloh Christian ran away from the field to take the individual title.
Greenbrier had three runners place in the top 15 of the 54-runner field to win all-conference honors: Foster Hines, 7th; Austin Sitzes 8th; and Ryan Treat, 9th. Kyle Cain finished fourth for the Panthers and 21st overall. Ryan Beegle finished 25th overall. Rayce Baker, Jared McKenzie, and Andrew Cook completed the field for Greenbrier.
Kaitlyn Watson finished 26th in the senior girls division.
The state meet will be Nov. 10 with all classifications running at Oaklawn Park in Hot Springs.
