Sports Club to meet at Old Gin

George Baker, a longtime assistant under the late Sporty Carpenter, the former football coach at Henderson State will be the guest speaker at Monday’s Arkansas Sports Club luncheon in its new location.
The monthly luncheon will now be held at the Hole In the Wall restaurant at the Old Gin location on Markham Street in downtown Conway.
Baker will talked about his recent book, “Lightning Hit The Outhouse and I Was In It,” a collection of stories from his experiences with Carpenter. He will bring several book with him for purchase.
