FCSO makes second Internet stalking arrest this year

Posted: March 2, 2013 - 11:49am

Faulkner County Sheriff's Office deputies arrested Aric L. Champman, 32, 2295 Nature Trail in Conway Friday for Internet stalking of a child, a class B felony.    Police say the arrest came after a two-day investigation where Chapman allegedly coordinated to meet in person with a female he met in an online chatroom for the purpose of having sex with her and her 10-year-old daughter.     According to FCSO, Chapman was actually communicating with an investigator with the sheriff's office.    Chapman was arrested at Laurel Park in Conway after meeting an investigator there and inquiring as to where the 10-year-old was.    Police said Chapman was taken into custody without incident.    This is the second internet stalking case arrest the sheriff's office has made this year.

Great job FCSO!

2 down and how many more to go? I would be willing to bet that they could hire a full task force and spend a full year busting these pervs in Faulkner and surrounding counties alone and still not put a dent in their #'s!!

It's only the first of March and they already caught 2

seeking to assault a child. Maybe I shouldn't ask the question, its the ones they did not catch that worry me, but apparently not everyone shares my concern.

I guess this is one more point against Mr. Rabinowitz's

theory he espoused last night:

" This is why controls are in place for such matters.

If by "HUGE" you mean a bad deal when it happens, sure. If by HUGE you mean those poeople are all around us pawing at children all the time, no. If the latter is your belief turning off television is well in order. "

Point Reader.

This Dude is Scum

Unpublished

But for crying out loud what kind of scum did this dude think the mother was that someone would pimp out their own 10 yr old daughter.
I don't think that TV\media\video games violence desensitize near as much or as quick since without "pain" it doesn't sink in as deep.

But all the sexual images that can be found at the click of a mouse that things that were shocking are so common that some people need more and more out of the norm situations and images to get their jollies.

What a job!!! I'd definatelty

What a job!!! I'd definatelty sit around all day on a computer in a chat room looking for these losers. I wonder if like "detective of the week" gets to do it for the week or something. I mean it can't be hard either.

I Disagree

I would think sitting in front of a computer trying to find the words to convince an internet stalker that I was on his level and was willing to allow him access to a child would be an extremely difficult task, one that at the end of the day would leave me emotionally exhausted and, once I was alone, in tears.

The advent of the internet

brings the world to your doorstep, unfortunately it is an ugly world out there in some places and the minds of some people.
