ARTUS

Artus here….I’m a neutered male, Lab/Hound mix, I’m 4 mths old and I weigh 12 lbs…..and so there we were, my mom and I, taking a walk and next thing you know we were taking a ride…. I look nothing like my mom….you will meet her later…. I’m a playful guy, love to see what I can get into next and love my toys. I’m trying to master that leash thing but I have some serious work to do before I’m good at it….if my owners don’t find me I will be available 8/18/17.
Adopting a dog from the Conway Animal Welfare Unit is a fairly easy process. The first step to adopting an animal is submitting an application. The application allows us to individually consider applicants and helps us to properly match our pets with new owners. We want to make sure that our pets are going to homes that are ready to provide for these pets long-term. Adoptions are $50 and this includes vaccinations, heartworm test, spay/neuter and microchip. As with any shelter animal, health is not guaranteed but we do our best to screen out those animals that are showing obvious signs of illness or disclose that information prior to adoption. All dogs are heartworm tested upon adoption.

If you are interested in adopting a dog and you reside OUTSIDE the city limits of Conway and the dog is less than 12 wks old, the cost is $75 which includes a spay/neuter and micropchip. The spay and neuter can only be performed at Vilonia Vet Clinic or Companion Animal Spay/Neuter Clinic. If the animal is less that 12 wks and you live inside the city limits the adoption fee is $25 dollars and you receive a voucher for $120 to use at select clinics for spay/neuter. The other option is that you provide us with proof of a pre-paid spay or neuter at YOUR vet of choice.

CHONG

I would have never guessed I would have ended up at a shelter at this stage of life….I am an 8 yr old male Pug and I weigh 17 lbs. I’m a sweet boy….but I haven’t had the best of care…I’ve been here now for 5 days and my owners haven’t come for me. As you can see I have an eye condition in my right eye and if that’s not bad enough…..I’m HEARTWORM POSITIVE. I promise I’m no trouble, walk well on a leash, love people and get along just fine with other dogs. I will likely need medication for my eye the rest of my life and the Friends will help with my heartworms….if you have a little space in your heart and in your home….I’m available now!

CUPCAKE

I’m here to tell you shelter life is HARD! Especially when one day you are curled up on the couch with your person and the next day they bring you to the shelter. So my story goes like this….I was surrendered by my owner for unknown reasons…I’ve been at the shelter for a couple of weeks now doing my best to settle in…which is work in progress. Baby steps right? Anyway back to my story….I am a spayed female Chihuahua mix, my name is Cupcake, I weigh 7 lbs and I’m 6 yrs old. My previous owners did mention I was crate trained, like kids and other dogs. I love to be held once I get to know you and I’m very well trained in being a lap warmer. Don’t let my shy behavior discourage you…I have a warm heart! I’m available now!
