MARGO

Hi I’m Margo…my sister, Moonpie, and our mom, Molly were all surrendered by our owner. Molly our mom is a Dachshund but I think I look more like a Beagle. I am a 10 wk old spayed female and I weigh 8 lbs. I’m a super sweet gal and hope to have a new home soon! I’m available now! Adopting a dog from the Conway Animal Welfare Unit is a fairly easy process. The first step to adopting an animal is submitting an application. The application allows us to individually consider applicants and helps us to properly match our pets with new owners. We want to make sure that our pets are going to homes that are ready to provide for these pets long-term. Adoptions are $50 and this includes vaccinations, heartworm test, spay/neuter and microchip. As with any shelter animal, health is not guaranteed but we do our best to screen out those animals that are showing obvious signs of illness or disclose that information prior to adoption. All dogs are heartworm tested upon adoption. If you are interested in adopting a dog and you reside OUTSIDE the city limits of Conway and the dog is less than 12 wks old, the cost is $75 which includes a spay/neuter and micropchip. The spay and neuter can only be performed at Vilonia Vet Clinic or Companion Animal Spay/Neuter Clinic. If the animal is less that 12 wks and you live inside the city limits the adoption fee is $25 dollars and you receive a voucher for $120 to use at select clinics for spay/neuter. The other option is that you provide us with proof of a pre-paid spay or neuter at YOUR vet of choice.

DOUGLAS

I know I’m handsome…you don’t have to tell me….I was very popular with the ladies in my younger days….I’ve slowed down a bit…I’m a little wiser now and figured out women are Trouble with a capital T. My name is Douglas and you may not call me Doug….I have a big presence and need the extra letters. As you can see from the highlights in my muzzle I’m an older gentleman…about 8 yrs young and I weigh 63 lbs. I have been here for about 2 wks now and they had hopes of finding a German Shepherd rescue for me…but no luck….you see I’m heartworm positive and that’s scary for most people. I feel pretty good though…I have a high ball drive and although I don’t turn on a dime like I used to, it’s more like a quarter now, I will still fetch and wait patiently for you to throw it again….oh and did I mention I know sit? I hope you share my picture along with my friend Ellie’s….we are up against all these cute puppies for new homes and it’s pretty stiff competition. Just like my friend Ellie…the Friends have agreed to help with my heartworm treatment once adopted. I’m available now! Adopting a dog from the Conway Animal Welfare Unit is a fairly easy process.
