ADEQ, Keep Arkansas Beautiful and others marked America Recycles Day at Wooster Elementary School. Wooster Elementary was the first LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified school in Arkansas and has a full-scale recycling program including composting food scraps from the cafeteria. Students on the school’s green team even started a recycling program at football and basketball games. America Recycles Day is marked nationally to promote and encourage recycling.
