Artsfest continued Saturday with a small parade of young artists. The Kid's Art Parade began at the Blackbird Academy of Arts' parking lot at 1058 Front St. and continued to Simon Park.

Children smiled and waived the paintings they had created. Some dressed in costumes, others hid shyly behind parents. Once at the park, children had options for creating crafts, watching dance performances, viewing paintings, building castles out of blocks and listening to music.

The parade was among a slew of events happening downtown. Festivities there continue throughout the afternoon.
