40,000 tickets sold, thousands still left for Arkansas vs. Alcorn State

We're just about a day away from hundreds of Razorback fans pouring into Little Rock as the Hogs take on the Alcorn State Braves.

It's one of the last few games slated for War Memorial Stadium in the capital city/ Stadium officials tell Channel 7 News, as of Thursday afternoon they had sold around 40,000 tickets, and have about 15,000 left.

Despite the 11 a.m. kick-off, finding your own place to tailgate last minute will be nearly impossible.

"People already came out that have the scholarship parking spaces and then staked their tents for their parking space, we sold out on our reserve tailgating so we should have a good time, and people are calling waiting to know what time they can get on the golf course in the morning to start their tailgating,” said War Memorial Stadium Executive Director, Jerry Cohen.

"I actually wouldn't mind 11 o'clock because the last few games I’ve come out here in the evenings, there have been so many drunks out on the golf course I wouldn't want to bring my kids out here...so that was a key factor for not bringing them in the past,” said Hog fan Larry Meeks.

Reserved tailgating opens at 6 a.m. and golf course tailgating opens at 7 a.m.

Be sure to tune in to Channel 7 News on Friday night at 7 p.m. for the Razorback special.
