WASHINGTON D.C. – Conway residents calling U.S. Senator John Boozman’s Washington, D.C., office may find a familiar voice at the other end of the line.

Trent Minner, a 2011 graduate of Conway Christian High School, participated in Sen. Boozman’s Congressional Summer Internship Program in Washington, D.C.

While in Washington, Minner attended committee hearings and legislative briefings, worked with congressional staff on various state and federal projects, provided constituent services to visiting Arkansans, attended lectures from a variety of speakers, gave tours of the U.S. Capitol building, and shadowed Boozman during meetings, activities, and receptions.

“This is my first time in Washington, and it is truly a privilege to spend the summer serving our state in our nation’s capital,” Minner said.

“Trent has been a tremendous help to the people of Arkansas during his time in Washington. We appreciate his commitment and dedication to serving Arkansans and being an ambassador for our office,” Boozman said.

Minner is a senior at John Brown University, where he is pursuing a degree in marketing. He is the son of Bill and Carla Minner of Conway.
