Air Force Reserve Airman 1st Class Joseph J. Riela graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Riela is the brother of Donna Riela of Conway.

He is a 2000 graduate of Hampton High School.

Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Stephanie E. Smith graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

Scheeler earned distinction as an honor graduate.

He is the son of Larry Scheeler of Beebe, and Dawn Sterling of Sagebrush, Romance.

The airman is a 2008 graduate of Mount Vernon-Enola High School.
