CCS opens with romp over Little Johns

Conway Christian came out of the gate quickly Monday, building a 21-6 first-quarter lead on the way to a 35-12 victory in the Blue Cross & Blue Shield Kickoff Classic, presented by hootens.com.

The game at First Security Field at Estes Stadium meant a successful debut for new CCS coach Justin Kramer.

Luke Gates,  Russ Jackson and Jacob Wood scored rushing touchdowns for the Eagles. Clay Hammett returned an interception for another score and Wood passed to Jessie Dather for another.
