Mayflower players eager to test new system

JOSH WOODHAM

“The new staff is bringing some old styles back. We’ve got some things in the offense that I think will be hard to stop. I think we can compete with the best of them.”

On quarterback Adam Dycus: “I grew up playing with Adam. I’m not sure I’d be comfortable with anyone else.”

RILEY NORMAN

“I love the new staff, but I loved the old staff also.”

“We passed a lot last year. We’re going to pass a lot this year but maybe run more and mix in some screens. I believe we have some of the best receivers in the state.”

JUSTIN BAILEY

“I like the new coaching staff a lot. We had a great team thing going and they make you want to cone out early in the morning and work. I like the balance we have on offense.”

On playing free safety: “What I like about it is it’s simple. You have to stay focused but it’s not confusing.”
