Veterans recognized during CBC coffee, scones event Friday

Central Baptist College is welcoming veterans in the community to drop by its Café 52 in the Story Library on campus for coffee and scones from 6-10 a.m. Friday.

The Point 94.1 will be broadcasting live and CBC’s Director of Military Relations will be on site to talk about how the college supports veterans and the veteran tuition discount.

“The live remote will focus on Veterans Day and recognizing veterans, as well as promoting the PACE [Professional Adult College Education] program and CBC being a Military Friendly School,” said Deanna Ott, with public relations office.

Ott said CBC was named a Military Friendly School by Victory media for eight years in a row and offers an associate of science degree in military technologies with locations in Conway and in North Little Rock at Camp Robinson.

She said during the event, coffee and light refreshments will be provided.

“We look forward to having Veterans on our campus on Friday,” Ott said. “CBC has a long tradition of working with students who serve or have served our country. We will continue to do whatever it takes to honor their service and empower them to succeed.”
