FCSO continues Mayflower death investigation

The Faulkner County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate an incident where a couple was found dead at a residence just outside of Mayflower on Monday.

Sheriff’s investigators initiated the death investigation after two bodies were found dead Monday morning at a residence in the 200 block of Highway 89 North, just outside of Mayflower city limits.

Spokesman Adam Bledsoe confirmed Tuesday that 45-year-old Melissa Robinson and 63-year-old Bobby Webb were found dead at the home at 7:15 a.m. Monday.

“Ms. Robinson was located on the front porch of the residence and Mr. Webb was located inside the residence,” Bledsoe said.

Sheriff Tim Ryals said that while the incident appears to be a murder-suicide, investigators are waiting for a determination on cause of death from the medical examiner at the Arkansas State Crime Lab.

Bledsoe said it appeared as if Robinson was attacked and Webb suffered from self-inflicted wounds.

“Ms. Robinson appeared to suffer from multiple stab wounds and an apparent gunshot wound to the back,” he said. “Mr. Webb appeared to suffer from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.”

As of press time Tuesday, Bledsoe said the incident remains under investigation.

“FCSO investigators are awaiting results from the Arkansas State Crime Lab and considers this incident under investigation,” he said.
