Police identify 3 injured in Oak Street shooting

Police have released the names of the three men injured in a shooting on Oak Street late Wednesday.

Nineteen-year-old Carterus Toney, 20-year-old Chaunsen McCuien and 42-year-old Stanley Waters were each treated for gunshot wounds, Conway Police Department spokesman LaTresha Woodruff said.

“The investigation into what led to the shooting outside a Conway motel continues,” Woodruff told the Log Cabin Democrat.

Officers had responded to a shots fired call shortly after 11 p.m. Wednesday near King’s Inn Motel.

“When officers got to the scene they located shell casings,” Woodruff said in a statement on Thursday. “Officers later learned that three people showed up at the hospital, all suffering from gunshot wounds.”

It was not immediately clear if any of the three injured was considered a suspect.

The three men’s condition was not available as of press time Friday.
