Conway opens with NLR win

Conway opened its volleyball season Tuesday with a 25-12 25-22, 22-25, 25-20 victory over North Little Rock.


MacKenzie Ear had 16 kills, five aces and 15 digs. Aly Brinkley added eight kills and three blocks. Sara Neathercutt had 38 assists.

Conway won the JV game, 25-22, 25-10.

Alyssa Wells had seven kills and one block. McKinsie Shaw had four kills. Sydney Trickett added three aces, Payton Lindsey, 10 digs, and Morgan Mourot, 16 assists.

Cats split with Cabot in golf

CABOT — Conway High’s girls prevailed while Cabot’s boys took top honors Tuesday in a dual golf match at the Mountain Springs Course at Greystone Country Club.

The Lady Cats had a combned nine-hole score of 134 to win by 23 strokes.

Casey Ott was medalist at 38, followed by Alexis McDaniel, 47, and Logan Tolliver and Meghan Smith, 49 Catherine Brown came in at 53 and Whitney Hill fired a 56.

Cabot combined for a 161 to win by eight strokes.

White Parker led the Cats with a 38. Other boys scores were: Carter Cloe and Jackson Goodwin, 42; Jett Tolliver and Grayson McEowen, 47; and Clsy Bradshaw, 56.
