Car thief steals car from daycare while mom was dropping off son

A car thief stole a mother’s car from Ms. Carrie’s Day School on Tyler Street while she was inside dropping off her son, according to a CPD incident report released today.

According to the report, the mother left her 2000 Nissan Sentra, gray in color, running in front of the daycare for about three minutes on Wednesday while she was inside dropping off her son. When she came out, the car was gone.

She wasn’t sure what was in the car when interviewed by an officer who arrived a few minutes later, but the thief got her sachel purse with the green and orange striped wallet that was in it, along a checkbook, debit/credit cards, keys to her residence and, of course, keys to the car.

The car’s license plate begins with a 4 and ends with a Y. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Conway Police Department.
