Ott leads Conway girls to golf victory

EL DORADO — Led by Casey Ott’s 80 for medalist honors, Conway High’s girls claimed the title Saturday in the Simmons First Wildcat Invitational golf tournament here.

The Lady Cats had a team score of 261. El Dorado was second at 294 and Benton third at 313.

Other Conway scores were: Logan Tolliver, 86; Alexis McDaniel, 95; Whitney Hill, 99; and Meghan Smith, 105.

The Conway boys fired a 320 to finish second behind Bryant, 319. El Dorado was third at 321.

Whit Parker led Conway with a 76, followed by Jett Tolliver, 79; Jackson Goodwin, 80; Grayson McEowen, 85; and Clay Bradshaw, 89.

Gage Parker of El Dorado was boys medalist with a 72.

Arkansas Youth Shooting Sports regional tournaments begin April 28

JACKSONVILLE – Student athletes from across Arkansas will gather at the Arkansas Game and Fish Foundation Shooting Sports Complex in Jacksonville each weekend, beginning April 28, to take their shots at the regional and state championship tournaments of the Arkansas Youth Shooting Sports Program.
