The Arkansas Senate recognized Jann Bryant, Director of the UCA Community School of Music (CSM) and Coordinator of Music Advising, on May 12 for her years of dedication with the school.

Senator Jason Rapert presented Bryant a citation during the Voice of Central Arkansas Spring Concert.

Bryant has served the CSM as director since the beginning of the school nearly 25 years ago.

Bryant said that Sen. Rapert noticed her involvement in the CSM and the school’s impact on the students because his children have taken lessons through the school and performed in the children’s choir.

“A senate citation was certainly not something I expected but I was very thrilled and honored by it. It was quite humbling but very much appreciated,” said Bryant.

The school offers private music lessons and group lessons for children, teens, and adults.

The CSM is also home to the award-winning Voices of Central Arkansas children’s choir, which was invited to perform at Carnegie Hall because of their gold medal performances in Chicago and Dallas music festivals.

I only clicked here to see

I only clicked here to see how many of the 2 comments were to chastise Rapert instead of congratulating Ms. Bryant.

Thank you Ms. Bryant for your dedication to teaching your students that music is important. This is an award well deserved.

Yeah

and Sebelius.

How in the hell does any of them still have a job?

But still, I'm the only one so far to offer a good job for Ms. Bryant. All this talk about politicians is taking away from her accomplishments. It really is sad when an award is degraded by retarded comments about a politician and not praise for the awarded.
